City keep the pace at the top

Manchester City ground out a 1-0 win over Coventry City to stay top of the Premier League table with a perfect 15 points from five matches, their form line reading WWWWW. Coventry sit 18th on three points, with one goal scored in five games and four straight defeats to their name.

Liverpool did their work on the road, winning 2-0 at Ipswich Town. According to the table, Liverpool are sixth on nine points and unbeaten, while Ipswich are 11th on six.

Arsenal take the derby, Palace strike at Fulham

Arsenal claimed the London derby honours with a 2-1 win over Chelsea, a result that leaves them second on 12 points with four straight victories behind them. Chelsea are 10th on seven.

Crystal Palace won 3-2 at Fulham in the gameweek's highest-scoring game. The Premier League table shows Palace 15th on four points, while Fulham, beaten in their last three, drop to 19th on two.

Six draws reshape the picture

Newcastle United and AFC Bournemouth shared a 2-2 draw that leaves Newcastle ninth on eight points and Bournemouth still searching for a first win — three draws and two defeats from five.
